Pallet Placement

It’s important to offset each row of pallets – meaning one row of pallets should be set off to the left side and the next row of pallets should be set off to the right side. You should keep this pattern going until the trailer is full. This helps maximize your airflow through the pallets. Keep trailer doors closed – it helps boost air flow being pulled through the vents. Keep pallet runners 2 to 4 inches away from vents so air can be pulled into trailer. Pallets can touch the walls of the trailer as long as they’re not blocking the vents. Also keep any debris away from the fans and vents for maximum air flow. You can fit 26 stacks of 48 x 40, 20 high which is 520 pallets or 22 high at 546 pallets in a trailer. (See drawing).
